MELANIE, who was born on the third of February 1947, in Astoria, Queens, has been loved by many for a long, long time. Songbird Melanie was known as a troublemaker in Red Bank, NJ, where she graduated from high school (Nothing serious, of course . . . just a little mischief!) She has made seven super albums, and merits all the praise she gets.
